Marnie Swedberg ~ Interview!

Feeling Loved: Connecting with God in the Minutes You Have

By Marnie Swedberg,
Mentor to Super Busy Women

Why do we love romance, secret rendezvous and the feelings that come when being pursued by someone wonderful? Why do we want our lover to be “bigger than life”?

Romantic feelings are God’s idea. In fact, every high and every low are little gifts from God. He is standing at your heart’s door, knocking, and asking, “May I come in and talk to you about this from my perspective?”

God is the ultimate friend, lover and provider and our feelings and emotions are His “teaser,” like a movie preview, meant to arouse our curiosity for “the real thing” or “the rest of the story.”

About the Book:
Feeling Loved provides a pathway from complacency to connectivity, and from interest to intimacy with God. In this book you will learn how to identify if you are mad at God, and what to do about it anytime you are. You will learn the one phrase you must know to turn everyday difficulties into God-connection opportunities. You will learn how to share inside jokes with God every time you see an airplane, helicopter, merry-go-round, waterslide and more. You will gain the keys to relating to God in your own style, based on the personality God gave you.

Feeling Loved is a quick, two-hour read or a leisurely ten week group study, containing ten chapters full of stories from my own life and journey toward intimacy with God, plus a section of Scriptures prayers. As you move through the book, you will meet God as the Master Storyteller, but more importantly, as your own personal History Maker. Because, incredible as it seems, He has His sights set on your heart!

The demands of life make it tough for is to find time to connect with God in a meaningful way. Statistics show that 81% of adults are unhappy with their work-life balance and only 3% cite the enjoyment of their relationship with God as their greatest source of spiritual fulfillment.

How about you? Is God your most exciting friend? Are you tight with Him? Do you want to feel more of God’s love? Do you know how to get from here to there?

I have not read any of your books YET, Marnie.

I am so happy to discover you as an author I want to pursue!

I was amazed with the fact that statistics show that 81% of adults are unhappy with their work-life balance and only 3% cite the enjoyment of their relationship with God as their greatest source of spiritual fulfillment.

With those statistics it is no wonder that you are involved in this ministry! Bless you!

You have blessed my heart today to discover your heart of ministry!

Blessings,
Charlotte

This is a great thought, "God is the ultimate friend, lover and provider and our feelings and emotions are His teaser, like a movie preview, meant to arouse our curiosity for the real thing or the rest of the story. Thanks for sharing it, Marnie! I'm not familiar with your books, but once Carman highlights something, all her followers take note!

I think intimacy with God is something that we all desire, but often find difficult to maintain, at least consistently. Many of us would probably find Marnie's book very helpful in this area, and I like that it can either be read or used as a group study.

I admire all the women who were brave enough to tackle the men's world of business yrs ago which made it possible for the women of today to have successful careers in what use to be only a man's world.

This book sounds like an awesome book to read and one I am adding to my wish list. Thanks

Marnie is a charming lady and I would be blessed to meet her. Since that probably isn't a likely possibility, all or any of her books would benefit my life in ways I've only imagined. My relationship with God gets good, better, and best daily. I want a deeper, ultimate relationship with Jesus my Savior and my Father God.

My life has been disrupted by near death followed by disabilities that keep me from being on my feet or walking. I do exercise, but the pain persists. Most of my time in in front of a pc, writing for the Lord. Whatever will come from that will be according to his will.

Marnie is a courageous and admirable person with great traits for helping others. She is a mentor. I relate to that, because I love people and desire them to see Jesus reflected in my actions. We are alike in those ways. I believe all lives can be magnified in the ways of the Lord and to never stop learning how to live an improved life, marriage, relationships, skills and further depth in the Lord.

In one week, I am flying to Portland to visit my mother for Thanksgiving and her 92nd birthday. She is a remarkable woman, strong and lives her life for the Lord. I'm 72 and want to be like her when I grow up.

Thanks for the privilege of expressing viewpoints and the chance for the giveaway...I hope I will win something...if I do, it will be right as God sees it. The person who needs this help from Marnie will receive it.

Sharing Christ's Love,
Barb Shelton

I love seeing the old metal merry-go-rounds in play grounds, want to know why I'd be sharing an inside joke with god about them...
and I'm definitely a slow learner when it comes to memorizing scripture - 'know many verses, but not their handles'.

I came to this post via Mona's interview, so glad I did, and not just for the entries toward the book giveaway
